Day had been a bit dull today 'coz of the cold I have. Why wudnt i catch, i had an icecream on a very hot afternoon..
Tomorrow is Ugadi, one of the important festivals. Will be missing my family. The special fud, the mixed fruit juice... slurp.... :-)
Thinking of dad n mom.. I have some incidences which really make me miss them a lottttttt, they are nearly 600 kms far from me. :-(
Dad had always been strict... but during some circumstances, he would be more than a friend to me.
It once so happened that I met with an accident on my way back home (4 yrs back). A drunkard was coming opposite to me (was very near to me) when I was on my 2 wheeler... Wanted not to hurt him, so tuk a sudden turn, and the next second i saw myself skid with my vehicle, ditto like the skidding style of Hritik in Kaho na pyar hai.. when the villans will go to kill him.
Managed to shout a couple of words at the drunkard..... who danced away as if nothing had happened. How bad the feeling was.. my fav dress got damaged. Couple of ppl came to help me, one even asked whether he cud drop me to my home. "Its nearby", was all that i muttered to him. Somehow managed to reach home. My feet was badly hurt. Everyone in my home were shocked.
Weeping was all I cud do at that time. Dad was trying to calm me down. First aid was done by mom. Still kept on weeping. Dad knew my weakness. He immediately left his accounting work with tally, and went to the nearby bakery. He bought fooooooooooooooorrrrrrr biiiiiiiiiiigggggg pieces of chocolate cake :-p. My face was a sight to see. FORGOT THE PAIN FOR A MOMENT!!!!
"Dont give a single piece to anybody Preetu, have it all for yourself", was wat he said handing the bag to me. If I were alright and dad had said that sentence , I would readily had and finished it. But how cud I think abt it when my feet was bleeding???? Oh! how it hurt!!! But by seeing my dad do so much for me... the pain in my feet started fading!! Unforgettable moment. Really!!! Lucky to have a dad like him :-)
Recently he called me & asked,"Preetu, mom has made ur fav dish, shall I bring it for u?"
"What?", i asked surprised, "bring it for me? By travelling for 14 hours????". So sweet of him.....wanted to say that his words filled my stomach. :-)
Mommmm.... how can I stop telling abt her. I have troubled her a lott. But she maintains her cool. She knows... when her daughter is angry she will shout... afterwards gets calm. I still remember, the way she used to teach the rhymes to my younger sis. I was in the 4th Standard then. Mom doesnt know English, she is a kannada literate. She would ask me how to read a sentence of rhyme in english. After listening.. she wud write it in kannada... only the words i mean, not translating the poem from english to kannada. 'Coz of the studying interest she brought in my sisher, my sis is doing Engg E&CE. No doubt.. my sis is intelligent :-). After all... behen kiski hai??? :-D
I am missing my sisters too. How I used to wrestle with them... quarrel with them for silly reasons... but still I would enjoy all the hungama I would create for timepass (heheheh only sometimes).
